About Me

Hi!

I’m Lucy, a voice specialist, singing teacher and vocal coach. You may also see me onstage or on screen from time to time. Based in Melbourne, I have nearly a decade of performance and coaching experience across Australia and London, UK. 

I trained as a singer and pianist before completing a bachelor of musical theatre from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and pursuing performing. The daughter of two teachers, I naturally discovered a passion for teaching others and began teaching singing and piano after graduating with my degree.

As my fascination with the voice grew I expanded my knowledge through various courses and workshops. I have studied under the Vocal Health Education and the Voice Care Centre, London before returning to the Queensland Conservatorium of Music to study a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy, the leading course in the world offering this qualification. I am passionate about young performers and the future of Australia’s Arts Industry and am currently conducting a thesis on the voice education of Australian performers.

Most of my students are professional voice users or performing artists in training. Performers in American in Paris, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Titanic, Light in the Piazza, Sweeney Todd, Matilda the Musical, We Will Rock You and Royal Caribbean Cruises, to name a few, come to my studio to work on their voice goals. I guide them towards the most efficient, easy and comfortable technique for their voice. It’s pretty wonderful watching each student discover that technique.

My goal is to create healthy, effortless voices through efficient and easy techniques.  I am fascinated by the latest research in Vocal Pedagogy and like to pass on my findings to my students in a digestible and enjoyable way. 

I cater each lesson to the student’s specific needs, creating a supportive, down to earth environment to build confidence, break holding patterns, refine skills, and find your best and healthiest voice.
